Spotless Street privacy policy

Spotless Street is a pressure-washing game made by HMB Software ("we"). This page says what the game collects, why, and how to delete it.

The short version

You can play without an account. A guest's progress stays on the phone; our server only logs requests for a short while.
If you sign in, we keep an account ID, the email and name your sign-in provider gives us, your game progress and the Cities you've bought, so your progress follows you to another phone.
No ads, no tracking, no analytics SDKs, and we never sell or share your data.
You can delete your account from the game at any time.

Playing as a guest

Your progress is saved only on your phone. The game asks our server for the list of Cities and for download links, and posts App Store or Google Play purchases so we can check them; none of that is stored against you. Like any web server, ours logs the IP address of each request for security and troubleshooting, and those logs are deleted within 30 days.

Signing in

Signing in is optional. You sign in with Apple or Google. We then keep:

We use it only to run the game. It is linked to your account and is never used to track you or for advertising.

Payments

Apple and Google take your payment. We never see your card or payment details, only the store's receipt for the City you bought.

Who else handles your data

DigitalOcean hosts our servers and City downloads (in the United States).
Apple and Google, if you sign in with them or buy a City, under their own privacy policies.

Nobody else. We don't sell or share personal data.

How long we keep it

Account data stays until you delete your account. Two things are kept after that, with nothing else about you: your sign-in's random ID, so a sign-in that was still open can't recreate the deleted account, and a record that a purchase was refunded, so a refund stays a refund.

Deleting your account

In the game: Settings → Delete account, type DELETE and confirm. That deletes your sign-in, your account and everything listed above straight away, apart from the two things under "How long we keep it". If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke the game's access to your Apple ID. Your progress on this phone stays as a guest save; deleting the app removes it.

Can't open the game? Email privacy@hmb-software.com from your account's email address and we'll delete it within 30 days. More: Deleting your Spotless Street account.

Children

The game is rated 4+ but isn't made for or aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you think a child has signed in, email us and we'll delete the account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Email privacy@hmb-software.com. We answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the game if the change matters.
